Video Transcript
  • In this video, we'll implement voiceover audio files in the Performance editor section of Copilot Designer. As you can see, I have the program open here and we have one sample flow.
  • You want to click edit, enter into that flow. Now we see all the nodes so far at the start of the flow.
  • There's text already in these dialogue nodes, which means text to speech will be generated. But if you want to implement voiceover audio files, here's how to do it.
  • You go into edit performance for a dialogue node. It may take a moment for the scene to build. This will show you the environment that you have, your virtual humans, the spawn points that have been designated for those virtual humans.
  • And as you can see while it's loading here on the right hand side, there's a column and it says audio.
  • This one is automatically selected when you enter into this. So at the moment it shows here generated audio. That means it's text to speech.
  • If we click play, you'll hear the text to speech audio. Ah, good. Now that we're all Here, but we've recorded voiceover for this one.
  • So what we want to do is go to import audio and click here. Then you'll need to navigate wherever you've saved your audio files, your voiceover files for that particular module.
  • And I'm going to navigate to that file. If I look here, I can see that it's a monofil. The sample rate is 48 kilohertz and the bit depth is 24, which is recommended.
  • This is a Wave file, which is one of the three audio file types that are allowed within C P D.
  • Click open and it will import that file. Okay, we have a box here saying import successful, and it lists the name of the file that we've just imported.
  • Our new voiceover audio file now lives over here on the right hand side, this column. Now, in order to replace the text to speech, what we need to do is click and drag.
  • So you'll want to click on this file here and then drag it down to where it says generated audio. Then let go.
  • And by doing that, the text to speech has been replaced with our voiceover audio file. And you can see the name of our audio file here.
  • Now that we're all here, we can get started. Thank you for your patience, miss. So the voiceover file started playing automatically.
  • You can push stop to stop that, but we see that indeed the voiceover file has replaced the Texas speech. Ah, Good.
  • Now that we're all here, we can get started. Thank you for your patience, Mr. So that's how you import and implement voiceover into Performance Editor.
  • You can also, once you have a number of voiceover files here that you've imported, you can use this search bar and start typing in the name of a file and that will help you locate your files if you're trying to quickly find something that has, if you have a lot of different files with different names, and that is basically how you import and implement a voiceover file into C P D.
