Video Transcript
  • In this video, we will navigate the audio settings in Performance Editor. As you can see, I have co-pilot designer open here and we have one sample flow.
  • If you click to edit, you'll enter into that flow and see the nodes that have been created. There's a start node followed by two dialogue nodes, a decision node, and more dialogue nodes.
  • Any dialogue written into a dialogue node will automatically generate text to speech, audio for the virtual human to speak. We have some control over the text to speech options.
  • On the left hand side, there's a button called scene. If you click there, it takes us to our environment, which shows the spawn points where the learner is situated, and which virtual humans are in use.
  • In this one, we have two virtual humans underneath the icon of the picture of the virtual human, there's a a dropdown menu that says voice, and these are your different text to speech voice options for this character.
  • Right now, it's on one called Ashley. You can click the play button next to that to to preview the voice.
  • This is the example sound for this voice template. And then this other virtual human here has Roger as his Texas beach voice.
  • This is the example sound for this voice Template. If you don't like it, you can go into the dropdown and change it to a different one.
  • Try it out here. This is the example sound for this voice template. Okay. Once you find the Texas speech voice options you like, then you can go back into the flow.
  • Then you'll want to click on edit performance to get into the performance editor section of that dialogue node. It may take just a moment to load the scene for you, and you'll see the environment where the virtual humans have been situated in the spawn points that you designated.
  • Also, you'll see the performance track timeline showing the account of seconds over here, and then it shows the text written here.
  • We know that we have text to speech, audio because it says generated audio over here where I'm showing with the cursor.
  • And if you click play, you'll hear back what that text to speech sounds like and see how the virtual human looks speaking it.
  • Ah, good. Now that we're all here, we can get started. Thank you for your patience, Miss. So that's an example of how to look at text to speech, audio.
  • You have another option over here on the right hand column where it says audio, and underneath there's importing audio. I'll show that in the next video.
