  • Hey everyone, Lisa here with a quick lesson in using and editing pop-up nodes. Pop-up nodes, we use them a lot and they are a really great way to welcome a user to a learning experience, maybe give them a hint of what's to come.
  • We also use them throughout our flows to impart information, perhaps that they might want to reference or keep in mind.
  • And in fact, we often tie them to variables and conditional nodes. So if a learner is, let's say falling below a threshold for a particular skill, active listening, we might trigger a pop-up node that tells them, hey, don't forget to use the skills that you learned in the last flow with your coach about active listening.
  • And be sure to apply them here. So lots of different ways that you can utilize those. Once you have one created in your canvas as with all nodes, you can edit them directly into the node right here.
  • That's kind of your quick edit functionality or on the right hand rail, it popped out and gives you the ability to add a little bit more metadata and detail.
  • Now I am just going to throw in some placeholder text here so that when we go to three view preview, we're able to see what it looks like.
  • There is also the ability to add a JPEG or PNG generally something that's fairly small, not super high resolution. And that might be a logo
  • That might be a really simple visual aid that you'd like your pop up to have. Now underneath here, you're able to change the name of the button.
  • Let's call it button. But the default is okay. You can also add a secondary button if you'd like. That's kind of a cool little extra function.
  • And then you can add a second page of your pop up. So that's just a little bit of functionality, as well as if you've run out of characters here, you get about 280.
  • Maybe you need a second page of your pop up. And with that, you could just duplicate the first one. And here it is.
  • You can add more. I'm just going to call this number two for all of these. And now we have our, Pop up, we have our quick flow.
  • Let's go back and see what it looks like in 3D preview. You can delete this part.
  • Hope this is helpful. Thanks everybody.
